Roger Hawkes graduated from the University of Washington in 1968 with a degree in Business Administration and in 1973 with his Juris Doctor degree. In between, he worked as a Certified Public Accountant. After law school, he worked for a trial court judge for a year and thereafter started Hawkes Law Firm. He has been a member of the Shoreline School Board, the Board of the Washington State Trial Lawyers Association, and has served as a judge or arbitrator many times. He was a co founder of the Room Nine parent participation program in Shoreline School District and a local Chamber of Commerce; he has served as an officer or adviser to many different charitable and business organizations. His favorite part of being a lawyer is helping good clients to solve their legal problems in an efficient and friendly manner. He also enjoys the challenge of learning new areas of law and advocating for law changes to protect individuals and small businesses. When not doing ‘law’ he enjoys spending time with Lisanne and their six children and seven (so far) grandchildren.
Tom Sabin graduated from the University of Washington with a B.A. in Business Administration in 1974. He then attended the University of South Carolina School of Law, graduating in 1977. Upon his return to the State of Washington in 1977 he began the practice of law in a small firm in Federal Way where he worked for four years followed by a two year stint with a firm in Kirkland. He operated his general practice in Kirkland from 1984 through 2001 and joined Hawkes Law Firm in January of 2002 where he has focused his work in family law, estates, real estate, probates and business law.
Kevin Winters is a litigation attorney, helping clients obtain a fair and beneficial judicial resolution of their legal issues. Kevin's litigation practice includes personal injury, construction, condominium, complex commercial, insurance coverage, insurance bad faith, consumer protection and probate cases.
Kevin graduated from the University of Washington Law School in 1997. He earned his undergraduate degree from Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota in 1988. Prior to law school, he worked as a consumer advocate for state-regulated utility customers at the Public Counsel Section of the Attorney General's Office in Seattle. Kevin has been with Hawkes Law Firm since 1997. Kevin says his favorite thing about being a lawyer is helping clients get better-than-expected results with legal problems they could not solve on their own. Kevin enjoys his wife Karen and their three young boys, especially taking them skiing, camping, and to the park. He loves music and reading.
